Afghan Hounds
This breed is one of the most noble dogs in our civilisation... Afghan Hounds are the pride of their owner. They know it and show it !
Our Racing and Coursing Salukis
We always fancied racing and coursing with our Salukis more than showing them.
We show our Afghan Hounds and Afghans and Salukis are rarely judged by the same judge wich means that we have to be in different showrings and many times at the same moment.
After a few allround breedings,in the eighties, we decided to put the highlights in breeding for the Salukis more on racing and coursing.
And we may say, we succeeded.
For the last 15 years, the Y-Shirvan Salukis proved their racing and Coursing strenght in the International scene.
At the moment we have 4 Worldchampion titles, 6 European Champion titles,1 Vice-european champion title, and a lot of national titles (German- Tsjechische- and Belgian racing and Coursing titles)
Also in other Kennels the Y-Shirvans proved their breeding strenght.
In the El Bachram Kennel (Netherlands, but stationed in Germany), Rahim Y-Shirvan (brother of Ch. Rhani Y-Shirvan) mated the fast bitch Dincha el Bachram and the result was the famous World CH. 2000, European Ch.1998 and international Ch. Farhadsha el Bachram, the Lux. showch.2000 and VDH racing Ch.2000 Fejadin, the Neth. Show ch.2000, Neth.Coursing Ch.2001 Faruk el bachram and the Neth. Racing Ch. 2000 Falak el Bachram.
Then the El Bachram Kennel bought the special bitch Tashira Y-Shirvan pup and she had a marvellous racing character and got an excellent racing card. She became Int. Racing Ch. and was Vice-racing Derbywinner 2000. She was mated to Elshabad el Bachram and produced the top H-litter in the El Bachram Kennel with the World Ch. 2000, European Ch. 2000/2002, Neth. Racing Ch. 200/2001 Haruf el Bachram, World Ch. 2001, European Ch.2001, Bundesrennsieger 2002 Hakim el Bachram, Vice-European Ch.2000, Int.CH.Kurzebahnrennsiegerin 2000 and Int. Austria RennCh.2001 Hajar-karim el Bachram. The others of that litter were also very good; Hafez Ibn Elshabad, Hajani, Hamada and Haabil el Bachram witch stayed in the Kennel
In the Volgai'as Kennel (Belgium) the multiple Racing and Coursing Champion Sheik Y-Shirvan mated Lutine de Hamadan (import France) and produced excellent racing and coursing dogs. Volgai'as Aziz becam Vice-European Coursing Ch. 2004 and Belg. Coursing Ch. 2003, Assayan won 2 great International Coursings and Arab won the int. Coursing St.Gillis 2002

Big succes for Y-Shirvan salukisSunday june 22: Bundessiegerrennen 2008 in Hildesheim (Germany). Our Salukis did FANTASTIC and both male and female won the title!!!!

It is her first race-year and she competed 3 races. She won all 3 AND everytime with a new Trackrecord!!! And that on 3 different tracks!
